Monday
Liam had his 2 month doctor appointment Monday afternoon. He is 23.5" long and 12 lbs 8 oz. The poor thing also had to get his first set of shots. :-( They were awful, for me anyway. His face turned bright red but within about 30 seconds it was like nothing happened. He slept most of the day away after that. The doctor said that one of the possible side effects of one of the vaccinations was stinky toots. Oooo boy howdy does he have that side effect! Gas mask please!

Tuesday
Caleb has been having issues with one of his wisdom teeth. When we went to the dentist back in March they told him that he would need to get them out soon. When I got health insurance after I quit my job I got dental insurance so that when he started having problems he would be able to get those popped out. I had to select a dentist from a list and that's the only dentist we can go to. There weren't any dentists in Columbia so I picked one in Fenton since my parents and sister live there and can baby sit.
I made an appointment for Tuesday and Caleb and I got up and headed that way. My sister was off work so she watched lil tater for us. The dentist office was...not what I was expecting. All of their equipment was very old and outdated. It looks like they got all of their equipment from a dentist who got rid of their stuff a long time ago. They had to develop our x-rays. I can't remember the last time I've been to a dentist where they had to develop x-rays. The dentist is the one who cleaned my teeth (I'm used to a hygienist cleaning my teeth) and then a girl came in to polish my teeth. She informed me that she has never polished someone's teeth before. *gulp*. One of the hygienists had to come in and show her how to hold the instrument. That hygienist later polished Caleb's teeth and showed this other girl what she did wrong on my teeth. I just never had a good feeling about this place. It turns out that our insurance will only pay for extractions for teeth that are causing discomfort. That means that Caleb can only get 1 of his teeth pulled. So now I'm going to try to find new insurance so that we can get better dental insurance and hopefully go somewhere closer to home. Needless to say, we won't be going back to that dentist.
Hanging out with Ant Amy!
Wednesday
Liam slept pretty much all day long. It was nice for me because we are doing an Ends Times study on Wednesday nights at church so I was able to study the lesson ahead of time so I wasn't completely lost with not being able to give my full attention while trying to wrangle a tiny tot and keep him quiet. Thanks Liam!
Thursday
Liam slept most of the day again. I am a pretty lucky mom with regards to how much he sleeps, but he made up for it this time Thursday night. He was not ready to sleep at all. I was not a fan of this because Caleb and I had both been battling sore throats and trying to keep them from turning into colds. Sleep is much needed for that! I do not like Liam sleeping in his swing all night. Thursday night, though, the rule book was thrown out. Get that kid to sleep! On top of not sleeping, he was also wanting to eat every 3 hours. I don't know what Liam did with my baby that night because my baby sleeps 6-8 hours between feedings at night.
Thursday for dinner I made pizza. I don't really like pizza unless it has pineapple on it. I made pepperoni for Caleb and I made my half hawaiian....and i think it was the best pizza I think I've ever had. I don't plan on going to Pizza Hut to get dinner for the two of us ever again.
Friday
Despite still feeling yucky, I decided to be productive. My mom has been letting us borrow her carpet steam cleaner. The landlord had told us that they shampooed the carpet before we moved in, but the carpet had a weird feeling to it and made our socks all nasty. Each time we vacuumed it felt better but with having a baby now who will be crawling before I want him to, I knew we needed to do something about the carpet. I got 3 out of our 4 carpeted rooms finished on Friday. This is what the water looked like after cleaning the dining room. It was even worse after cleaning the living room.

A few weeks ago I brought down Liam's 3-6 month clothes. I wanted to make sure he would be able to wear any clothes that might run small. I set out several outfits that he could start wearing, but it was hard to get myself to put them on him. Finally a few days ago I started trying some of the 3-6 clothes on him and guess what?? THEY FIT SO MUCH BETTER. I knew this would probably be the case, but I was not ready to pack up his 0-3 month clothes yet. I put a 3-6 sleeper on him Thursday night and it fit him perfectly. I would be kicking myself if he outgrew his clothes before I ever put them on him. I didn't quite realize how many 3-6 clothes he had though. The rod that I have hanging in his room is an old shower curtain rod and it kept falling down because his clothes were so heavy. I had to empty out a couple of drawers in his dresser with things that didnt necessarily need to be in a dresser, I stuffed his drawers full and hung as many clothes as I could, and still had half of a tub of clothes left. I'm certainly blessed with baby clothes!
Saturday
I wanted to get our living room carpet cleaned since that was the only room left. Caleb asked me about rearranging the living room...and I'm all game for rearranging furniture!
Anyway, while we were rearranging and cleaning, Liam was hanging out in his crib. He hasn't spent much time in there because we usually keep him in the pack n play. He seemed to enjoy the company in his crib.
A little while later I was hearing some whimpering coming from the nursery. I saw Caleb walk in there, then he came out and said "I think he's crying because his stuffed animals dog piled him." I walked in there and sure enough this is what I saw. Lol I wonder how THAT happened.
Here's more pictures from this week:
Just hanging out on the couch. (Caleb is pooching out his belly. Liam, not so much...lol)
Hanging out with Caleb
Just looking cute
His "I think my dad is Batman" shirt.
Trying to get a picture of the two of them with their batman shirts. Obviously Liam isn't too thrilled with the idea of more pictures.
Realllly not cooperative tonight.
He's over it. No more pictures.
We were trying to get him to laugh but then he was laughing and crying at the same time.
A family picture.
(Almost) Nakie baby!
Look at that pudge!
I wish this wasn't blurry. :-(
