Sunday
My sister came into town to spend the night with us. Liam always loves him some aunt time. :-) A family from our church was singing a concert in Eldon, MO so we headed that way to hear them. They are such a talented family and it is always a blessing to get to hear them. Liam did very well during the concert except when he scratched himself right under his eye and it started bleeding. :-( Poor little guy.
Monday
Amy and I loafed around all morning before she headed back that afternoon. After crazy weekends, Monday mornings are made for loafing, at least in my book. It was especially nice this morning because I got to sleep in as late as I wanted to without trying to get a baby to go back to sleep. I just got to pass him off!

Tuesday
After we left Taco Bell on Monday night we went to Walmart to get a few things and I stopped by the fabric department. I got some fabric to make Liam a winter hat. After the bonfire last week I figured he is going to need a winter hat. Tuesday I made hat number one for him. I ended up making it a tad too snug though. Fortunately tiny baby hats don't use up too much fabric. Caleb was able to stretch out the hat enough using a football so that it would at least fit his head, but it's not going to last him very long.

Wednesday
That morning I woke up to a text from my ant (yes, ant) telling me that they were just leaving Kansas City and would be in Columbia in two hours. We got up and headed that way to have an early lunch with her, my uncle, my cousin, and his girlfriend. I love getting to spend time with them. It was also the first time they were able to meet Liam. He got passed around the table and I'm sure he loved it! (As long as the big fans and sky light above us were still in view).
I made Liam another hat today. This one is too big but at the rate he's growing, it will probably fit him when he really needs it. This one also has ties at the bottom of it so I can tie it around his widdle cheeks.

Thursday
Caleb and I took Liam for a walk. We went to the pharmacy where they have an old-timey type ice cream shop. Liam has a hard time sleeping on our walks because the side walks here are so rough.
I also made Liam a vest and booties to match his hat. Except that the vest is too small. I think I'm in denial about how big my baby boy actually is.
Friday
Caleb went to spend the day at his parents' house to help them pack up some of their stuff. They closed on their house that morning and will be moving out soon! It was easier for Caleb to go by himself so he didn't have feeding/nap schedules to try to work around and he could stay however late he wanted to. I took the lil' tater to Panera to meet up with a friend from church. I was in such a rush to get out the door that morning that I forgot his pacifiers. Since he only had two I was planning on running to Target after Panera to get him a couple more, but Target ended up having to come first. My kid is definitely a pacifier kid. We had a really good visit at Panera and then headed to Hobby Lobby. I've always heard that Hobby Lobby is the place for kids to throw fits, and my child was not an exception to the rule. While he's crying a random lady came up to me trying to tell me what was wrong with him. I took her advice since, you know, she clearly knows him so well. -_- (We got out of there quickly after that).
Friday night I made breakfast sandwiches to keep in the freezer. When I was pregnant I used to get up and cook myself a delicious breakfast, but since now I'm usually woken up by someone else wanting breakfast immediately, I don't have much time to cook breakfast. They are dee-licious. And waaaay cheaper than buying them already frozen and don't even compare to buying them from McDonalds. Our grocery store had a killer sale on eggs (18 for $1.17...holla!) and bacon for $2/lb.
Saturday
My mom invited us over for the day and also invited over my grandparents. We had a good time there, even though Liam was slightly cranky due to his nap schedule being thrown off the past few days.
Week of October 13
Sunday
Liam conked out during Sunday School and I thought he might sleep all through church. Silly me. He ended up wanting to nurse right during the middle of Caleb's sermon. Then after nursing he had a poo so big he went through three diapers.
Caleb's uncle was baptized that morning so we got to go celebrate with his family for lunch!
Monday
Liam getting to see his grandparents is awesome and stuff, but getting him back into his normal routine with naps is also awesome.
Tuesday
I got to go grocery shopping by myself. I was only gone for 20 minutes, but it was a wonderful 20 minutes.
Wednesday
Someone decided naptime is for the birds. Just because he turned two months old today doesn't meant that he can skip nap time. Liam was so cranky all day and even screamed most of the way through church that night. Caleb is my hero and came to my rescue that night. He took Liam and told me to go on to bed and he would stay up with him. My energy and patience were both wearing thin and that was exactly what I needed.
Thursday
Bath time! I was determined to make naptime happen. It started with a bath, night time lotion, nursing, a swaddle, and a swing. Hello six hour nap! It's probably because he knew I was meeting with an insurance person that afternoon so he would be hanging out with his dad, whom he likes better.
Here is a towel picture for Aunt Christa. :-)
Friday
Caleb's sister invited us to go to the pumpkin patch with their family, but it was a bit chilly out and the pumpkin patch was out close to Jeff City. That's about an hour drive for us and with it being right during prime nap time, I was afraid that fussy gussy would throw a fit and be upset the whole time. We stayed home and he got in a good nap that afternoon. We went to Columbia to meet Caleb's family for dinner later and Liam was sooooo good! He didn't fuss and was content the whole time we were there.
Saturday
One of the ladies from our church had a ladies tea at her house. Ever since she announced it at church I have been looking forward to it because, well, Liam isn't a lady so it meant I got to have a break! I was gone for four hours, and it was wonderful! I didn't have to keep tabs on where my baby was, if he was fussy, why he was fussy, where he can take a nap, is that poop or popcorn butter I'm smelling (they both smell similar), etc. Liam was asleep when I left and Caleb had just gotten Liam up right before I walked through the door coming back home. Looks like Caleb lucked out. :-)
Who's ready for lots of pictures?? Liam is usually super happy first thing in the morning, so that's when we take lots of pictures of him. It's usually only for about 5 minutes, but we enjoy it when it happens. :-)
Festive (and appropriate) clothing courtesy of Aunt Amy.
"Why am I all bundled up?"
"I love watching Warehouse 13 with dad!"
Liam's most favorite place to sleep.
" Who dares me to see if I can fit my whole fist in my mouth??"
Passed out on my lap
I think he had a dream about singing Lee Greenwood's Proud to be an American song.Wearing one of dad's hats from when he was a tot.
Spit bubbles when he's sleeping.
Liam fell asleep on the couch and Caleb needed to get up, so he took the whole blanket with Liam.
I will never tire of my baby smiling at me like this.
(Liam's hands get really cold so he's been wearing socks on them)
"Whatchu lookin at?"
"Look at mah bellay!"
"Dad, who won the NLCS?? I wore my baseball jammers last night!"
"Was it the Cards???"
"Yay! World Series!"
"I'm two months old!!"
Gah! He really knows how to melt Mommy's heart.
One more thing. I just wanted to show you how much Caleb likes change, clothing wise anyway. Whenever he finds a pair of shoes he likes, he buys them to have for when his current pair wears out. Well, pictured here is his former pair of shoes that are now for working outside (identical to the former pair of outdoor shoes he just threw out), his current pair of shoes, and his extra pair for the future (just imagine them with white laces). Notice any patterns? :-) (I love you Caleb!!)
