October 19 - October 29

I forgot to mention one thing in my blog from last week.  On that Friday afternoon Liam was in his high chair eating lunch and I could see one of our neighbors walking around outside.  Naturally, I pulled open the curtains to spy and saw that she was walking around with a little baby lamb!  I grabbed Liam out of his chair and took him outside to see the lamb.  It was so little that it didn't even come up to Liam's shoulders.  He even petted it too!  I didn't get to get any pictures because we had hurried outside and I didn't have my phone on me.  She said she was bottle feeding it for her sister then it was going to live on that sister's farm.  We haven't seen it since, though, so I'm guessing it went on to its new home.

Sunday - Along with getting taller, Liam is becoming more adventurous.  He climbed up into the McDonalds playplace by himself.  Caleb was right behind him the whole time, but I'm not looking forward to all of the times that I'm going to have to climb in there to pull him out.  Our church needs a new hang out place.  ;-)

He also tried climbing up the slide.

Monday - Liam and I went for a walk collecting leaves.  He enjoyed running around the park.

I'm not sure who Kathy Berck is, but Liam is apparently saddened by her passing.
 Heading back to the van!

Tuesday - Liam and I made a leaf wreath with our leaf findings!  Ok, I mostly made it.  I got Liam to glue one leaf on but then he kept wanting to pull it back off.

Wednesday and Thursday I worked on stripping Liam's diapers.  They were kind of getting a bit of a funk to them again.

Friday - Caleb and his friend Glenn have been planning a camping trip for about a month now.  When I say planning, I mean like constantly texting each other about it and skyping so they could talk about it.  Friday morning was finally the big day and we met Glenn and Leah in Hannibal, then Leah came home with me.

But first, before we went back to Centralia, we went to Lydia's house for her to take some overdue  one year pictures of Liam.   When we got to her house I set Liam down in their front yard.  He climbed up their front steps and then this baby appeared in the window!

Here's one of the pictures she took.  I can't wait to see the rest!  I can't believe Lydia was able to get some good ones of him.  I was really starting to doubt because he was not in any mood to sit still to get his picture taken.  Especially not when he had Ellie and Leah to play with!
I don't know what you do when your friends come over to visit, but on Saturday Leah and I went and bought 12 pounds of shredded cheese.  (It was a really good deal, ok?)

I got this picture off of Caleb's camera.  This is the shelters Glenn and Caleb made and slept under.

Liam has pretty much gone down to just taking one nap a day now.  :-(  But that's ok, because he's a cute little booger and, even though I can't get as much done when he's awake, I like hanging out with him.

Here are some more pictures from this week:

I tried to take a picture to send to Amy and didn't realize my flash was on.
He doesn't look like he can sit rear-facing too much longer.  Those legs are getting in his way!
We keep giving Liam all of our trash and he loves building towers out of them!  He is always so proud of himself after he successfully gets things to stay on top of each other.

This current week we went to the Missouri Baptist Convention.  The Missouri Baptists is basically a cooperative program for Southern Baptist Churches in Missouri.  They also fund different mission projects and they also help fund things like HLG and other baptist colleges in the state.   They have a convention every year to discuss the business side of those things and they also have several preachers come in and preach sermons.  I know that Caleb enjoys being able to sit and listen to good preaching while he's there. So since my baby boy is napping and it's all still fresh on my mind, I'm going to go ahead and post about this week so far.

Sunday morning Liam snuggled up with me while we watched George before we left for church.  :-)

That afternoon he also found the Alpha Bits box and took it upon himself to dig right on in.
I was packing up some diapers to take on our trip and when I opened this box of diapers that had been sitting in the living room all week, I found eight clothespins and several other MIA toys.  I was wondering where he had hid all of his clothespins!  I guess he thought the handles of the boxes were good places to drop things.
Monday - We got up early and had left the house by 7 am to go to Tan-Tar-A for the convention.   Since Caleb's parents only live about 25 minutes away, we stayed at their house.

They also have an "exhibit" area with booths from different misson groups, colleges, and other things available through the Missouri Baptists.  Most booths also give away free things!  Liam went away with several rubber bracelets, a toothbrush, lots of candy, some frisbees, and lots of pens. This is a picture of the guy at the Historical Commission booth.  It's hard to read the sign because I took the picture from a distance, but this guy's enthusiasm really shines through.  I share with him in that enthusiasm.

Liam took a nap Monday afternoon on Grandma's lap.
Liam also really like the RA/GA booth where they had little people!
And he also really enjoyed "The Bucket Project" booth because they had a 5 gallon bucket he decided he needed to carry around.
They loved how much he loved their bucket.  I found a picture on their facebook page of him sitting on this bucket.  :-)

He also loved the Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief vehicle they had there.

Hannibal LaGrange had a booth and they were passing out "HLGU Alum" stickers to any alumni that stopped by.  We all got one and wrote "future" on the boys' stickers.  I got this picture off of the HLG facebook page.

We were on our way to dinner Monday night and this was my view going up the escalator.
By the time we got to the restaurant (it was a long walk with lots of stairs) he was all slumped over like this.
We had to wait awhile for a table so Liam checked out this bear.  He was terrified of it at first.  Seth got a good video of him where he wanted to pet it so bad but every time his hand got close, he freaked out and started crying.  :-)
After dinner we went to the arcade and I watched the most intense game of whack-a-batman that I have ever seen.
Liam thought he had the best seat in the house Tuesday morning.  He enjoyed hanging out on grandma and grandpa's laps during a sermon.  I think it was a rough time for all three of them.  :-)
Hanging out with my little man after he ate an entire bowl of chili.  We hung out in the lobby and watched the world series game while we waited for the meetings to dismiss.
Wednesday morning this hunk had the morning prayer.  He was too good-looking to not get a picture of him.
Liam finally succumbed to his exhaustion Wednesday morning after avoiding a nap all day on Tuesday (he was up running around for 14 hours!)  Again, grandma didn't enjoy that at all.  ;-)
