Week of March 2

Sunday -
I totally expected church to be cancelled, but when we got up and saw that not much had happened overnight, we went ahead and had church. It was still kinda slick out so there were several people who weren't able to make it to church.

Tuesday - We went to Caleb's parents' house.  Christa's family came and Micah came too.  The guys went and shot their guns and the girls stayed home with the kids.  Next time, I'm hoping the boys are getting stuck with the kiddos and the girls are going to target!

Wednesday - Liam didn't get a good nap on Tuesday and Wednesday was the same story.  He didn't nap all afternoon.  When he's crabby it makes for long days.

Thursday -That morning Caleb told me he was taking Liam to church with him for his office hours. Hooray!  I got him all dressed up for the occasion.

We tried getting a picture with a Bible...but that went about like this.  Thanks to Caleb's ninja reflexes, the Bible didn't make it into his mouth.

This was the best we could do.  lol

I didn't know what I was going to do with myself, but it was a much welcomed break.  I started off by trying to get some curtains made for the one last room in our house without curtains.  I eventually got them done, but my biggest accomplishment was getting our health insurance reevaluated...

Over the past few weeks I have been toying with the idea of looking at all of our bills and trying to see where we can save any money from our monthly expenses.  We got Caleb's phone bill reduced by a third, I cancelled netflix, so my next stop was insurance.  I was able to save about $7/month on car insurance along with getting much much better coverage.  When I talked with an insurance agent about health insurance, he was able to get us great coverage and save us around $250-300/month (the amount still isn't finalized yet). Woohoo!

While Caleb was at church with Liam, I got this picture.  When he got home I asked him how he got Liam to nap and he said he didn't even try.  He just looked down and Liam was passed out on his lap.

Friday -  I finally got to pick up my glasses and contacts.  I had been calling the eye doctor every so often to check on my glasses.  The girl who answers the phone had gotten snotty with me one time and said "We will call you when they are ready."  Well now it had been a MONTH since I ordered them, I called again and she answered.  I asked her how long it took to get glasses in and she told me 7-10 business days.  I told her it had been a month since I ordered mine and she put me on hold and was gone for awhile.  She came back and said they were put in the wrong drawer and they were ready to be picked up.  Hmm....well I guess it's a good idea I called her.  Who knows how long it would have taken for them to call me.  I had to schedule an appointment though because the eye doctor wanted to see me back.  I tried getting out of it but they insisted.  So they called me back to a room and the assistant or whatever she is asked me what I was there for.  Umm, you tell me.  Apparently they wanted to make sure my contacts fit fine.  I can see how that would be necessary since I've been wearing the same type for 6ish years now.  (insert sarcasm) Anyway, I can see again! Huzzah!

After the eye doctor I went to target.  They had a killer deal on my favorite toilet paper.  They probably think I'm a hoarder there.  Whenever they have good sales on my favorite things I stock up.

After that we took Liam to his 6 month check up.  We're getting behind in his check ups because of insurance stuff, but that's no big deal.

He weighed in at 16 lbs 15 oz.

He also loved the opportunity to get nakie.

And he loved to chew on those toes that I usually keep hidden with socks.  :-)

He had to get shots.  Caleb is the one who held him down this time while he got them.  Right after that he wanted me and seemed to hold a grudge against Caleb for a few days.

He was zonked out afterwards.

 Lol, those pacifer lines.

Saturday
We have revival scheduled at our church for the upcoming week.  The evangelist that we have scheduled is a good friend of Caleb's family.  Since they are on the go so much doing revivals they usually pull a camper and stay in that through the duration of the revival.  On Tuesday morning Caleb got a phone call from him saying that he wasn't going to be able to pull his camper and was wondering about getting a hotel.  There aren't any hotels in Centralia so we offered to let him stay at our house since we don't really use the upstairs very much and have an extra bathroom up there.  They came on Saturday afternoon and we got to spend the rest of the day with them.  Liam wasn't so sure about them though.  On top of still not feeling very well from his shots, he has been getting some separation anxiety.  I can't say I mind it too much though (for now) because it kinda gives you warm fuzzies as a mom when your baby wants you and only you.  :-D

Other pictures this week:

One evening I looked over and saw Liam with his arm around Caleb.
I went to get a picture from the front and Liam gave his dad a kiss!
Liam was fighting a nap.  Caleb went in there to check on him and I hear him say "Did your mom put you to bed like this??".  If he has to ask, the answer is no.  When I laid him down his head was toward the far end.  He had turned himself almost 180 degrees and was kicking his thing that plays music.  Obviously it looks like he was having a good ol' time in there.
It's a good thing dad's come with built in handles!
"Oh hey mom!"
"I have a friend.  His name is Sven."
"I love Sven."  :-)
Baby Batman!
