Week of March 10

Week 17!  I feel like my baby has doubled in size this week.  But I'm still in an awkward phase in between regular clothes and maternity clothes.

Sunday:
We went to a church in Centralia, MO and Caleb got to preach for them.  It was a lot of fun and Caleb always loves the chance to get to preach.  We went out for lunch at a local restaurant and they had a cheeseburger that kept my burger craving at bay for a couple of days.  :-)  After lunch we headed back to Indiana.  We followed a storm all the way to Indiana before we finally got ahead of it.

Monday:
I took a half day of work so that I could sleep in before having to head back to work.  I wasn't sure what time we would get home on Sunday so I figured taking a half day on Monday would let us not be rushed coming back home.  Let me tell you, this was a wonderful idea.  First of all, we lost an hour over the weekend due to the time change and then lost another hour driving to Indiana, so it was great to sleep in until 10ish.  Then Caleb woke up and I told him that I really wanted a doughnut.  Fortunately there is a bakery three buildings down from us.  I'm not sure Caleb thought such a close proximity was a great thing that morning since it was raining and I woke up super hungry and wanted food immediately.  But he's a great husband and went and got me one anyway.  :-)

Also, when I got to work I found out that I won an Aflac duck at work in a drawing.  How lucky am I?  He even talks!  (with a limited vocabulary limited to the word "Aflac", but still.)

Wednesday:
My reading and paper for my Seminary Wives class was due on Thursday, so guess how I spent my evening!  Reading, of course!

Thursday:
I decided to drop my term 4 Seminary Wives class so I no longer have class on Thursday nights.  With being pregnant, being gone for 13 hours straight is hard stuff.  I don't have the energy for that these days.  We had gotten an Applebee's gift card from my parents so guess what was for dinner this night!  Mmmm.....   And on the way home we stopped at Wal-Mart to get ice cream because sometimes you just need ice cream.  Also I wrote my paper for my class so I'm officially done with everything!

Friday:
I was picked up from work by Caleb and my in-laws and we went to the same place for dinner that Caleb and I ate on my birthday, you know the place with those yummy bison burgers!  Oh it was so good.

Saturday:
Caleb slept in and I went with his parents to an archery tournament in downtown Louisville.  A girl from their area and church was shooting in this national tournament so we went to watch for a little while. It was neat and archery really isn't something I'm very familiar with so it was cool to see how it all works.

Once Caleb woke up we picked him up and went to some yard sales and a thrift store.  Somehow we never discovered this thrift store until today and that place is huge.  Caleb and I only made it through 1/2 of the store before we were all shopped out.  This place has everything, from expired girl scout cookies, to unique comforters, and the kitchen sink.

So this comforter...has marijuana leaves on it.  First of all, why??  And who would buy it?

I still considered buying it, but I couldn't find the price on it so I had to pass.  You would think they would clearly price their items.

Also, I got baby's first bank!  It's a turtle!  I'm considering painting it just because I like to paint things, but I kind of like it the way it is too.  I also got baby a nostalgic book from my childhood.  :-)

The rest of our day was spent driving around exploring Southern Indiana and parts of Kentucky.  We went to two different state parks.  They were really neat and the weather was so pretty today.  It got up to over 70 degrees.

We also stopped for ice cream!

And while we were waiting we were looking at a cartoon drawing of a map of Louisville, and look what tv station was on there!

Well that's all for this week.  Sorry I don't have any cute pictures of babies to leave you with this week.  Give it time and I'm sure you'll be sick of seeing baby pictures on this blog.  :-)
