Here's a peek at our week:
Sunday
After church on Sunday Caleb and I walked to Burger King and this was sitting on our table. Umm, gross! Caleb said he would be willing to try it.
Sunday night I was skyping with my family and I got Oscar out to say hi to them, and the little goober bit me. I don't handle him much so I dont know if he just got scared or what his deal was. He's never bit me before. As punishment I didn't break up his pellets Monday morning when I fed him. Turns out, he's big enough now that I don't need to break up his pellets. Sigh.

Monday:
This was a beautiful sunrise Monday morning.

Please don't mind my dirty windows. |
Tuesday:
Oh look! Another pretty sunrise!
It was also the first day of school for Louisville's public schools. The school along my route to work doesn't have a place for buses to drop off students other than right on the street. So,if the timing hits right, I have sit and wait for mutiple school buses to drop off kids at their "mini-versity". That's what it's called, I don't make this stuff up.
There's a Save-A-Lot that is not too far away from where we live. I go there for several things that I can get cheaper than anywhere else. The only problem with it is that it is kind of ....ahem...ghetto. On Tuesday as I was getting ready to back out I saw this car. I've seen this kind of thing as decoration before...but I'm pretty sure this wasn't decoration. You never know what you are going to see here.
Wednesday:
Today was a big delivery day for us! A few more of Caleb's books came in. He now has all of them except for 2 that are available for free as pdfs that he can download to his kindle, one that he is borrowing from a friend, and one book that isn't published yet. Needless to say, I won't be hanging out with him much this semester.
Thursday:
My seminary wives program started up again tonight. I'm taking a class on women of influence. It's a pretty small class and I'm excited about it. :-)
Also, Caleb decided to drop a class today. There is just too much reading to do along with being on call for work on the days that he doesn't have class. He dropped one with a super heavy reading load.
Here's his new stack of books for the semester. :-) It took out 4 books along (including the one not published yet) with some hefty required Bible reading. It doesn't look like much of a decrease, but it is. Some of his books are for a marriage in ministry class that met this past week for 2 days and all he has to do now to complete his credits is read some books and write a response and a paper (i think, there may be more). I'm planning on reading some of the books to himwhile we travel to and from Missouri next month. That way I can have the benefit of reading them also and he can listen to me talk for hours at a time because i just KNOW that it's one of his favoritest things to do. Right, Caleb? :-)
Friday:
I got all of my hairs cut today. I wanted it cut just like I got it cut last time, but she hacked off a little more than I expected. It's more noticeable in the back. I'm still happy with it though. I don't know that I have ever had my hair this short before, other than when I was a wee tot.
Saturday:
I got some mail from my pappy yesterday. It was my all time favorite movie when I was little. I used to watch it over and over again. I'm not quite sure why, but I did. He got it for free at a garage sale and mailed it to me. Since Caleb had a lot of reading to do today, I decided to watch it and boy did the memories start flooding back. I still don't know what I liked so much about this movie.
This was a project that I started a few weeks ago. Caleb found a hunk of wood one day out by a dumpster and he brough it home. I drew an "S" and had him cut it out. I painted it and tried to crackle the paint it but I couldn't get the paint to do what I wanted to, even after two attempts. I decided just to cover it in some fabric that I got on clearance at Walmart awhile back. I hung it on the door at the top of our stairs that leads into our living room to replace our year-round Christmas wreath. I think it turned out good, I just feel like its missing something. Opinions, anyone?
I'm excited for this upcoming week...my family is coming into town! Even my sister gets to come this time. :-)
Sounds like an exciting week, getting back into the swing of things! I LOVE your 'S' on the door! It's really classy looking. I like it the way it is, but you could always make a couple fabric flowers to put maybe on the lower bend, on the right side? Does that even make sense? Ha ha Happy Monday! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I thought about that. I just need to figure out how to make some! :-) Thanks for the suggestion!
