Sunday - Painting my toes was on my pre-baby to-do list. I decided to go ahead and get it done. My friend Laura is a Jamberry consultant and I had won some pedicure wraps during one of her parties, so I decided to give them a try. Also you can see how fat my feet were. :-/
Liam was fascinated by my toes.
Monday - Monday after Caleb got home from work we went over to John's house to visit his baby bunnies. Liam loves animals, but only from a distance. He wasn't sure what to think of the bunnies, chickens, kitten, and duck. It also started raining as soon as we got there so that didn't help his mood.
The kitten, which Liam confuses with a squirrel.
After we checked out all of the animals we went inside and Liam was in heaven with Jonathan's car collection.
Wednesday - My sister texted me that morning and she had gotten the day off so she was on her way over. She brought her dog with her, which Liam enjoyed. We didn't do much except just hang out around the house.
Thursday - I had my 38 week appointment. She checked me and I was up to 4 cm. I have had some cramping during the past week and she said that's what is making me continue to progress. She said at this point I can still hang out here for another two weeks or my water could break at any time. I'm trying really hard to be patient, but I also really wish he would just come on out. Caleb tried asking Liam what made him want to come out. Unfortunately we couldn't understand his answer. :-(
It was also half price shake day at Sonic. The day before Liam was born was 1/2 price cheeseburger day at Sonic. I thought maybe participating in 1/2 price days at Sonic were the key to having a baby, but obviously that's not the case. It was worth a try.
Thursday evening Liam and I went for a walk. The sunset was awesome. My phone camera doesn't even begin to capture it. It did capture my cute little walking buddy though.
Saturday - It. Was. Hot. Liam and I tried going for a walk but we didn't get too far. We left home around 8:30 but after a mile I was already hot and sweaty and couldn't go any further.
I also got all caught up on laundry. I'm trying to make sure I stay on top of it so I don't have a bunch of laundry to do after the baby is born. I have started making Liam put away his own clothes. Liam has started bringing us socks when he wants to go outside so obviously he can get his drawers open. I usually have to tell him which drawer to open, but he's getting good at putting his clothes away, especially his diapers.
Here's a quote I overheard one day with Caleb was feeding Liam lunch:
"Liam, that is not a pillow. It's a piece of processed meat."
(For whatever reason, Liam likes to lay his head on things like bologna and play dough)
Here are some more pictures from this week:
I started getting some blooms on the seeds I planted this spring! I was planning on taking the flowers to some of the older people in our church, but these plants have just taken off and are crazy big. They just kind of hang everywhere.
"snuggles" :-)
He made himself a little office in the corner on his bean bag chair and drawing on his magna doodle.
He likes to act like Mom and put my shoes on.

Week of June 21
Sunday - My parents came to visit for the day which was awesome because it was also Father's day so I got to spend the day with my Pappy! And since it was Father's day, of course we HAD to celebrate with some frozen yogurt. I asked Caleb what he wanted for Father's day and he told me a baby. Unfortunately his present is going to be a little late.
Tuesday - Liam and I went for a walk Tuesday morning. We had walked past a house that had a yard sale the weekend before. They left all of their extras out on the curb with a "Free" sign on it. I got a few things like a banana holder and a puzzle and a picture frame. When we got home I parked Liam on the sidewalk while I set those things right inside the front door. In the two seconds that I was inside Liam pulled a part of a leaf off of some weed growing in front of our house and proceeded to eat it. I have no idea what it is, but I hope it's edible.
My friend Lydia and her little girl Ellie came to visit. I had such a good time with them. Lydia also brought over lunch for us, which was awesome because I needed to go grocery shopping. Liam loves having play buddies.
Eating cookies
"Don't worry, Ellie. I know the way out of here!"
Liam's goodbye hug to Ellie.
Wednesday - I had my 39 week appointment. My doctor was on vacation so I had to see a different doctor in a different office. The office was so quiet and I got in and out so quickly. If I didn't like my doctor so much I would be looking into changing doctor/offices.
After my appointment we went to visit a lady from church who fell and broke her hip and is in a rehab facility. She liked getting to see Liam. Liam also liked getting to pet the tiger in the lobby, once he warmed up to it a little bit.
Thursday - We had some really bad winds blow through on Thursday night. Caleb had to go outside to rescue our trash cans and when he came back to the house our front door knob wouldn't turn. It had been getting kind of hard to turn, but what a terrible time for it to quit working! He just had to go around to the back of the house and come in the back door and then he had to completely take the door knob off to try to figure out what was wrong. He never could get it working the way it should.
Friday - Ironically the landlord called me to see how things were going. I told him about the doorknob issue. He told me how he wanted me to go about replacing it and he asked me to keep the cost "reasonable". After I got off the phone with him Caleb had an idea. I dont know if you remember the door I talked about a few weeks ago that Caleb had found in someone's trash that he used to make shelves in the shed and a picture frame for the living room, but that door also had a door knob on it. Caleb took the middle part of that door knob out and put it in our door, then reattached the knobs, and boom! Our doorknob hasn't worked so great since we moved in. How's that for reasonable? :-)
Caleb needed some help fixing the door knob.
Friday morning Liam and I went for a walk. I couldn't believe all of the limbs that had fallen from the wind the night before. We were about to head back home when I saw what looked like a tree that had fallen on a house. Of course my curiosity made me go check it out. Sure enough, a tree had fallen on the house and there were people out there trying to get it off. It was just one street over from where we live. By the time we got home my runkeeper app told me we walked 3.2 miles. I thought for sure that would make baby want to come out, but obviously it didn't work. All it did was make my back hurt really bad. Thankfully I have some Valor Essential oil that came to my rescue and had me feeling better within a few hours.
Friday night started our Vacation Bible School at church. Liam and I didn't go. We ended up staying home and watching Horton Hears a Who instead. I can only handle chasing Liam around so much and I wasn't in the mood for it that night.
Saturday - Caleb's parents stopped by to see us. They showed up while Liam was napping. When he woke up and saw his grandma his little jaw dropped and he gasped. It was so cute. :-) He also loved getting to wrestle around with his grandpa on the floor.
Here's some more pictures from this week:
I love this little guy so much. :-)
He wanted a front row seat to watching Veggie Tales
He randomly puts these glasses on and acts like it's no big deal and keeps on playing. I crack up laughing every time.
This isn't my picture, but this was posted on one of our local swap shop pages. A lady was selling all of this for $15. $15!!! It's a bunch of batman toys. I got it and I'm keeping them to give to Liam for his birthday. I'm sure he and his cousins are going to be tickled. :-)
Our first pepper of the year! We gave it to Liam to eat because he loves green peppers, but for some reason he didn't like this one. He would chew it up then spit it out instead of swallowing it. We have several more that should be ready to pick in a few weeks.
This is Liam's new favorite game. He will pull Caleb off of the couch by his finger then get him to sit on the floor so he can do this over and over again.
