My mom always bring Liam a goody bag of clothes and such. Amongst the clothes she also brought him his Easter presents from Aunt Amy. One of them is an Easter book about the true meaning of Easter. The other book is a Bible story book that has the normal stories in it, but each of them point back to Christ. Christa was just telling us about this book last week and it is awesome! I highly recommend it! It's called the Jesus Storybook Bible. Liam was also thrilled to receive it!
Judging the book by it's back cover.
My mom also got Liam some sunglasses. He doesn't know what to do when you put them on his face. Ha!
I had to hold his hands down so he wouldn't pull them off.

Monday - I had been talking about getting my hair cut for about a month and a half now. At first I didn't have any coupons and I hate paying full price for a hair cut. Karisha gave me a coupon for $7.99 but then it fell out of my pocket at Target. She was going to give me another one but then I got one in the mail for $4.99 (even better!) but when I went to get my hair cut they told me they weren't accepting the coupon for a few more days. Last week when we went to Columbia to meet up with Caleb's family I was planning on going but then I left the coupon in my purse and only had the diaper bag with me. Sigh. My coupon expired on Monday so I made sure to take it with me on my trip to Columbia! I didn't get much cut off, just a trim, but it's nice to get those dead ends cut off for a bargain price!
I also went to Target. I mostly spent my time in the baby department because they were having a baby sale and I was loaded with coupons. There were several things I needed to get but had been waiting for the right sale. I ended up getting 2 10 oz Nuk bottles, 2 Nuk bottle nipples, 4 Avent bottle nipples, a 6 pack of spoons, 7 onesies, a pair of socks, and a hat. It cost me $24 (full price would have been $56). Huzzah! Most of that, minus the hat and socks, were all things that he needed. I love scoring deals like that on things that I would have eventually spent full price on anyway.
When I got home I put the hat on Liam. He pulled it over his head and sat like this for awhile on the couch. I guess he likes it??
Tuesday - Thursday - in between laundry, cooking, organizing, taking care of Little Bit, etc., I was able to throw together some Easter outfits for us. I remember last year on Easter seeing all of the little tots at church all gussied up in their Easter attire and being so anxious to be able to dress up my little one next year. So this year we are going to be that family that is all matchy-matchy. I was going to wait until Easter to post pictures, but that is too long for me to hold this back. :-)
A close up of Liam's outfit
Oh my goodness. It's hard to contain yourself when you have the world's cutest kid.
Here are all of the finished pieces. My skirt, Liam's onesie, and Caleb's tie. Can it be Easter already???
Friday - Karisha came over to get some baby lovins and she invited me to go to the Miss Paris pageant with her mom, her sister, and her that night. Their dancer girls were performing and Karisha was also a judge for the pageant. Being the suburb girl that I am, I had never been to a pageant before so I was intrigued. I had a good time with them! The commentary from the Beard/Trentham family sitting around me was the most entertaining part of the night. :-)Saturday - Caleb and I went to a Spring Fling vendor event at the Intermediate school here in town. We got to see our favorite Mary Kay consultant, Sara, and Thirty One Consultant, Amber! I got a new bag while I was there. :-D I wanted a bag big enough to throw some diapers and wipes into for places like church where I don't always need to lug around his big diaper bag. I'll still keep it in the car, but it doesn't have to follow me every where I go. Amber always gives me a deal I can't refuse. I love how useful Thirty One stuff is. It's durable and I love me some Proverbs 31. You can click on the links on their names to check out their websites if you are interested. You won't find better consultants!
Here's my new bag. It's even reversible! I was having a hard time deciding between this one and the new pink and black print, but Caleb was with me and he isn't a fan of pink so I ended up with this one.
This past week a family from church gave us a big tub full of puzzles and books and toys for Liam! Their youngest just turned 7 so they are passing along toys that their kids no longer play with. I am beyond excited to have a stash of wooden puzzles for Liam. I had been checking them out at different stores and those boogers are expensive! Some of the toys are Melissa and Doug, and I think a lot of moms have a love for Melissa and Doug toys for their kids. They are so cute and good quality too!
Also this week we had a monumental week for Liam. We put his exersaucer and playmat in storage upstairs. He just rolls right off of his playmat, or at least tries to and then gets stuck in the toys. He isn't much of a fan of his exersaucer because he can't roll around and get into things while he's stuck in there so he sits there and screams until you get him out. We put up his pack n play in place of it so that I can put him in there while I'm getting things done around the house and not have to worry about where he is. He doesn't like it as much as the floor, but at least he can roll around in it.
He seems to be getting closer to crawling, but he isn't very interested because he can sure get to where he wants to go by rolling and scooting. He also still doesn't have any teeth yet, but you won't find me complaining about that. For some reason he loves chewing on other people's fingers. He will grab your fingers and pull them to his mouth to chew on them. I guess it doesn't hurt when he chews on other people's fingers like it does when he chews on his own!
Some more pictures from this week:
This puts a smile on my face when this is what I see when I go to get Liam up in the morning.
Getting into Dad's stuff. Note to self and husband: do not leave anything that crinkles laying around
...Umm...I think you are doing it wrong.
This is what it's like trying to do dishes with Liam. Why can't he enjoy being worn in a baby carrier?
This boy.
Yeah, I dont know.
"What? There's nothing to see here."
While we were at the vendor fair, a Mary & Martha consultant gave me a sample of their cloth napkins. The napkin is bright green with a bright blue ribbon tied around it. Liam really wanted it so I let him play with it. I didn't think much about there being a business card on it. I looked down and noticed that there was chunk missing from the card. I quickly got it away from him. I decided to take a picture and when I held it up to take a picture he got really excited because he thought I was giving it back to him. I haven't seen this corner of the business card yet, but I haven't exactly gone digging for it either. There are worse things he can eat, right?
Eeeeeeeeee :-)
This is his "I need a nap" yell and face.
This is Liam's outside swing he got for Christmas. Caleb hasn't gotten it put up yet, but hey, this works too, right?
Sometimes when tiny dinos wake up in the morning they aren't ready to be up yet.
He's starting to get some air when his dad throws him. I know it's blurry, but this is the only picture where the blur actually resembles a baby.
He lives a hard life, you know?
I love these boys.
Here's a video from the past week. The first clip I have been trying to get on video for awhile now, but every time I get the camera out he doesn't make the face anymore. He was also being super dramatic because it was past his bed time.
